Lake Roberts, New Mexico

Lake Roberts is a small picturesque man made lake in the Gila National Forest. Private cabins, cabin rentals, a motel and a general store are all some folks need for fun. The National Forest also provides two self paying campgrounds with modern hookups. There is fishing and non-motorized boating on the lake.

Tyrone and White Signal

This photo slideshow features the communities of Tyrone and White Signal. Both are located on NM 90 southwest of Silver City. Tyrone is a quiet, well kept "suburban" subdivision town located just 5 miles south of Silver City. It has a community center, post office and nice parks. The homes are ranch style and modest. The setting for this town is quite nice with the homes overlooking a park area next to an arroyo. White Signal is a rural area of homes located near the Big Burro mountains between Lordsburg and Silver City. The hills around White Signal exhibit some of the largest evergreen oaks in Grant County. The continental divide trail runs right next to White Signal in the Gila National Forest.

Pinos Altos, NM

Pinos Altos is a small mountain community just north of Silver City, NM in the Pinos Altos Range. It straddles the continental divide and sits at 7000 ft above sea level. Funky architecture gives this community additional character. Pretty views in every direction makes this area quite desirable.

Bayard, NM

The main community in the eastern mining district of Grant County. Groceries, restaurants, Coffee, DMV, two banks, lumber - hardware and community center are among the conveniences Bayard provides.

Hurley, NM

Hurley is a clean community just south of the mining district in Grant County. It boasts views of Geronimo Ridge and the Chihuahuan Desert below. Near the City Of Rocks State Park and the county airport.

Santa Clara

Santa Clara is convenient to Silver City and Bayard and Hurley. It was called Central in years past but now goes by the name Santa Clara. It is a small village with affordable housing. It is convenient to Fort Bayard Hospital (which is currently being relocated into a new facility. There is also a great new Bataan Memorial Park with picnic areas, baseball facilities, horseshoes, volleyball, etc.

Arenas Valley - Cedar Hills Areas

This area of Grant County just east of Silver City is country living within earshot of town. The homes are comprised of a variety of housing such as site built and manufactured homes. Quiet roads and privacy can be found in this area of Silver City. Most of the lots in these two areas are unrestricted, so this area is great for home businesses, horses and other animals.

Mimbres Valley - San Lorenzo

These photographs show the area in the Mimbres Valley near San Lorenzo, NM. Includes many views of the Black Range from the Casas Adobes Subdivision next to San Lorenzo. San Lorenzo is a historic farming town which is one of the oldest settlements in Grant County. Casas Adobes is a newer subdivision with large lots and cleanly kept manufactured homes and even boasts a private Air Strip.
